Pictish Throne

Pictish Throne – all season till 31st October
This replica Pictish Throne was commissioned, and is loaned to us, by National Museums Scotland. Traditional craft techniques were used to create the throne, which is based on a carving found on a sculptured cross-slab stone at Fowlis Wester in Perthshire. We are delighted to be displaying this important insight into Pictish life.
